Là một công cụ mạnh dùng để sinh tài liệu từ những chú thích trong các file mã nguồn chương trình, doxygen đã giải quyết vấn đề document cho những nhà phát triển phần mềm nói chung và người quản trị dự án nói riêng một cách tuyệt vời. Nếu bạn sử dụng eclipse thì nên cài thêm plugins eclox_0.8.0.zip để doxygen tự sinh tài liệu. Trong Linux, sau khi cài core của doxygen xong, bạn cài thêm doxygen-gui để sử dụng giao diện đồ họa. Lệnh sử dụng giao diện này: doxywizard.
